The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has launched a sacrificial meat distribution project in Hadramawt Governorate, Yemen, for Eid-Al-Adha.

On the first day of Eid-Al-Adha, 279 heads of livestock were distributed to be shared among 1,116 families, including people of determination, the sick and the most needy categories, in the districts of Mukalla and Ghayl Ba Wazir of the governorate.

In total, the project aims to distribute 904 heads of livestock, or 6,328 individuals, in several districts of Hadramawt governorate during the days of Tashriq ”11, 12 and 13 Dhul-Hijjah”.

The project is part of a series of humanitarian and relief projects carried out by the UAE, represented by its humanitarian arm, the ERC, which aim to improve the living conditions of the most needy groups in the governorate and provide them joy and happiness during the days of Eid Al Adha.

Humaid Rashid Al Shamsi, Development and International Cooperation Advisor and CRE Representative in Hadhramaut, expressed his joy at launching this project, which reflects the UAE’s commitment to supporting the people of Yemen and providing assistance to families in need in Hadhramaut.

He said the distribution of sacrificial meat is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen humanitarian ties and alleviate the suffering of the most disadvantaged.

He also expressed his thanks and gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this humanitarian project.
