The UAE secured seventh place in the IMD Global Competitiveness Rankings, moving up three places in the latest survey.
Produced by the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland, it ranks the competitive strength of 67 countries.
The UAE was also among the top ten internationally in more than 90 distinct indicators.
Singapore, Switzerland and Denmark take the top three spots, while Ireland and Hong Kong round out the top five.
In an article on this achievement, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, thanked all those who contributed with their efforts to the UAE’s latest success, the global competitiveness ranking IMD.
His Highness expressed his appreciation to all teams from the government, economic and development sectors who have contributed to the progress of the UAE.
