The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has called on all licensed economic establishments in the Emirate to comply with relevant controls and conditions when contracting with social media influencers.

This involves ensuring that influencers obtain a license from ADDED for online advertising services, obtaining permits for all forms of advertising and verifying that economic establishments hold valid licenses when contracting with influencers or social media platforms. |

Non-compliance may result in penalties ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 dirhams and may lead to closure for non-compliance with the ADDED regulations.

In a circular issued on Wednesday, the Department of Economic Development of Abu Dhabi recognized and appreciated the efforts of all authorized economic establishments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to promote and create an ideal economic environment for business in the Emirate .
