Dubai Police’s efforts in combating organized and transnational crime have drawn praise from Italian police.

Italian Police Chief and Director General of Public Security Vittorio Pisani welcomed a delegation from Dubai Police led by Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri at the Ministry of Interior in Rome .

The meeting aimed to strengthen police and security cooperation, with discussions focused on strategies to combat organized crime, drug trafficking and money laundering using cryptocurrencies.

Al Marri highlighted the UAE’s commitment to strengthening international relations and partnerships with security and police agencies.

He highlighted the directives of His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, aimed at strengthening partnerships to combat organized and transnational crime and strengthening relations with Italian security authorities and police.

Pisani praised Dubai Police’s efforts to track down and apprehend 13 international fugitives wanted on various charges by the Italian Judicial Investigative Authority, as well as the police’s role in obtaining a court order to freeze 50 million euros of illicit products.
