His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, has approved the launch of the next phase of the Dubai Future Solutions initiative.

It aims to foster the development and implementation of innovative prototypes and pilot models, delivering transformative solutions from Dubai to the world.

The “Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity” initiative will be overseen by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

Sheikh Hamdan witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the Hussain Sajwani Foundation – DAMAC (HSDF), which committed AED 100 million to support innovation and technology in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.

“The aim of the ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative is to create a dynamic platform that attracts leading innovations, projects and experimental ideas from around the world, including contributions from brilliant students, from the best international universities and institutions, with the aim of transforming these ideas into effective solutions benefiting humanity,” said Sheikh Hamdan.

The collaboration between the DFF and HSDF will establish a global framework to strengthen partnerships with academic institutions, students, laboratories, startups and leading innovators around the world.

It is designed to attract global innovations to Dubai, providing a platform for innovators to showcase their work, drive community improvement, tackle important global challenges and convert experimental projects into thriving startups .

It also helps patent innovations and turn ideas into viable businesses, while providing investment opportunities for innovators looking to expand from Dubai into global markets.

These objectives will be achieved in collaboration with the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) and Dubai Culture.

An annual event will be organized at the Dubai Future District, showcasing the top 100 innovations from the “Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity” initiative. The best innovations will be honored during the annual ceremony.

DFF will also support this initiative through various national programs, including the Dubai Research and Development Program and the Dubai Robotics and Automation Program.

Leveraging its integrated ecosystem, DFF will promote entrepreneurship through AREA 2071 and the Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA), highlighting promising projects and talents.

The announcement builds on the success of ‘Prototypes for Humanity’, an initiative of the Art Dubai Group, over the past nine years.

Under the patronage of Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed, the initiative showcased hundreds of innovative projects from more than 10,000 applications submitted by students from more than 700 universities around the world.
