The United Arab Emirates has expressed solidarity with Jordan following an accident involving military aid trucks heading to the Gaza Strip.

At least two soldiers were killed and two others injured in the incident on Sunday.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed his condolences to the government and people of Jordan, as well as the families of the victims.

He praised Jordan’s efforts to support the Palestinians and the people of Gaza in the face of difficult humanitarian conditions.

Sheikh Abdullah also reaffirmed the UAE’s position on intensifying international efforts to facilitate the safe and unhindered delivery of essential aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip.
