The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed traffic improvement works on three main streets in the Al Mankhool area.

The project included modifications to the intersections of Kuwait Street, 12A Street and 10C Street.

“The Al Mankhool neighborhood is known for its heavy traffic. RTA has made several improvements, including reducing the right-hand entry and exit lanes from two to one at the junction of Kuwait Street and 10C Street and by incorporating a U-turn movement on 10C Street to improve road safety and reduce accidents,” said Hussain Al Banna, CEO of the RTA Traffic and Highways Agency.

He added that the project also involved moving the U-turn on Kuwait Street to lengthen the storage lane.

“This change will improve traffic flow and reduce delays by 30% at the junction of Kuwait Street and 12A Street. It will reduce waiting and waiting times for vehicles. Additionally, removing the overlapping traffic from 10C Street to 12A Street will improve safety on Kuwait Street,” explained Al Banna.

These traffic improvement works are expected to benefit around 130,000 residents and schoolchildren in Al Mankhool and its surrounding areas.

Al Mankhool is a commercial hub housing many businesses operating in the hotel and hospitality sector, as well as hospitals and various retail and wholesale outlets.
