10,000 children from low-income families receive essential school kits ahead of the new academic year.

A significant contribution of AED 1 million from Aldar Properties towards a new initiative with Dubai Cares is aimed at supporting underprivileged children across the UAE. 

The collaboration marks the introduction of Dubai Cares’ renowned “Back to School” edition of “Volunteer Emirates” to Abu Dhabi for the first time. 

Established in 2009, this initiative has been very important in engaging communities and enhancing educational opportunities for children nationwide.

100 volunteers will actively participate in assembling and distributing these school kits on August 23rd. Each kit is tailored to meet the educational needs of students, supporting their learning and development.

Abdulla Ahmed Alshehhi, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Cares, highlighted the broader impact of the initiative, stating that, “Providing essential school kits to less privileged students not only to enhance their educational journey but also alleviates financial burdens on their families.”

Alshehhi highlights that partnerships like this one with Aldar Properties’ is an example of ongoing efforts under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives to enhance educational opportunities across the UAE.
