Investigations conducted by the UAE Public Prosecution under the supervision of the Attorney General have revealed a new secret organisation outside the country, formed by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, classified as a terrorist organisation.

The group was dissolved in 2013 and the new outfit has been formed to revive the organisation and achieve the same goals.

The State Security Agency’s surveillance of fugitives from various emirates, who were tried and convicted in absentia in 2013, has identified two key groups meeting abroad. These groups, having recruited additional members, established a new organisation. They have been receiving funding from both UAE-based sources and other international terrorist groups.

Further investigations revealed that the organisation had formed alliances with other terrorist entities, and were using media, economic, and educational sectors to strengthen their presence, secure their operations abroad, and achieve their objectives.

Among their affiliates is the Cordoba Foundation (TCF), a group classified as a terrorist organisation in the UAE since 2014. The Foundation, led by Muslim Brotherhood leader Anas Al-Tikriti, has been involved in organising protests against UAE embassies and international organisations.

The organisation’s members used encrypted communication apps and conducted secret meetings to coordinate their activities.

Confessions from a detained member shed light on the group’s structure and its activities, which include threats to stability, leading smear campaigns, hate speech and attempts to destabilise the state through false information and incitement against its institutions.

Some members also engaged directly with human rights and international organisations, providing misleading information to tarnish the UAE’s reputation.

The Public Prosecution is conducting thorough investigations to verify the details of these confessions and ongoing inquiries by the State Security Service. An official announcement regarding the organisation and its activities is expected once the investigations are complete.
