Dubai is expanding its network of electric vehicle charging stations.
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has partnered with public parking operator Parkin to increase the number of green chargers for electric vehicles in several prime locations.
These charging stations will be located in parking areas and areas managed by Parkin.
The MoU was signed by Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence at DEWA, and Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, in the presence of Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, and Ahmed Bahrozyan, Chairman. by Parkin.
Al Tayer said the number of electric vehicles in Dubai reached more than 30,000 by the end of April 2024, while the number of participants in DEWA’s EV Green Charger program exceeded 15,000 in March 2024.
