A fire broke out at Dubai’s Barasti Beach Bar on Monday morning, with flames and plumes of black smoke billowing from a beach hut near the shore.
Le Méridien, the venue’s operator, said in a statement to ARN News: “We can confirm that in the early hours of this morning there was a fire at the Barasti Beach Bar which was isolated from the Barasti Beach Shack on the shoreline The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
“There were no injuries and the fire was brought under control and extinguished quickly. The safety and well-being of our customers and employees is our top priority and we continue to work with authorities to achieve this. “
