Abu Dhabi restaurant shut down for food safety violations

An Abu Dhabi restaurant has been closed for repeated violations of food safety rules.

The ‘Desi Pak Punjab’ restaurant was arrested for violations relating to food handling and hygiene levels as well as poor ventilation and pest control standards.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority said the outlet would only be allowed to reopen after resolving the issues.

The authority urged the public to contact the hotline 800555 to report complaints and concerns related to food safety.
