His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, led the UAE delegation which participated in the official mourning ceremony held yesterday in Tehran to pay tribute to the late Iranian President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and other people died in a helicopter crash.

His Highness conveyed the condolences and sympathy of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During his meeting with Ali Bagheri Kani, Acting Iranian Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Iran.

He also appreciated the remarkable efforts made by the late Iranian Foreign Minister in supporting the strengthening of relations between the two countries.

The delegation included Khalifa Shaheen Almarar, Minister of State, Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, and Saif Mohammed Al Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Iran.

The mourning ceremony took place at the International Conference Hall in the Iranian capital in the presence of leaders and representatives of several countries around the world.
