The UAE has condemned ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, the latest being the targeting of displaced people’s tents in Rafah, which resulted in the death and injury of dozens of civilians.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stressed the importance of achieving an immediate ceasefire, ensuring the protection of civilians and avoiding further loss of life.
He stressed the need for Israel to comply with the recent ruling of the International Court of Justice calling for an end to military operations in Rafah, as well as the need to keep the Rafah crossing open for the distribution of humanitarian aid.
The ministry urged the international community to intensify its efforts to stop the escalation in all regions of the occupied Palestinian territory and to ensure the unhindered arrival of aid to the Gaza Strip.
