The United Arab Emirates announced the sending of a new aid shipment to the Gaza Strip, carrying 1,166 tonnes of emergency essential food items on board.

The new humanitarian ship – sent approximately two weeks after another shipment – ​​was organized in collaboration with the Agency through joint efforts with the United States of America, the Republic of Cyprus, the United Nations and various international donors, including the European Union.

The ship left the port of Larnaca in Cyprus towards the port of Ashdod and entered the Gaza Strip via the Beit Hanoun crossing in cooperation with the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA).

The UAE continues to work in cooperation with international partners to intensify all efforts to ensure the flow of aid, its arrival and distribution by all means available, and to help alleviate the critical humanitarian conditions facing confronted the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip.

Sending relief supplies by land, sea and air demonstrates the UAE’s historic and steadfast commitment to the Palestinians, where it willingly provides all forms of humanitarian assistance to the brotherly Palestinians.
