His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, discussed ways to strengthen cooperation.
In a call yesterday, the two leaders reviewed progress in cooperation in economics, development, renewable energy and climate action, among other areas that support sustainable development in two countries.
The conversation also covered Azerbaijan’s preparations to host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) later this year, building on the historic consensus of the United Arab Emirates reached at COP28 at the end of last year.
