His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), has reaffirmed the UAE’s unwavering dedication to the Olympic Movement.
The occasion was marked by a spectacular display on the iconic Burj Khalifa, where the emblem of the International Olympic Committee and the logo of the upcoming Paris Olympics lit up the skyscraper.
Sheikh Ahmed expressed pride in the active involvement of the UAE NOC in promoting movement, health and fitness through such initiatives, especially in the run-up to the Paris Games.

Highlighting the importance of Olympic Day, celebrated each year in collaboration with National Olympic Committees around the world, Sheikh Ahmed explained that sportsmanship, fair play and unity are at the heart of the Olympic spirit.
