200 Emiratis were trained in app development in the first quarter of 2024 as part of the Dubai Digital Economy Chamber’s “Create Apps in Dubai” initiative.
The initiative was launched to strengthen the UAE’s digital capabilities, with the aim of training 1,000 Emiratis and tripling the number of app developers in Dubai by 2025.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, launched the program late last year.
Another milestone in the first quarter saw 1,100 people take part in the ‘App Olympics’ competition, launched in February as part of the Create Apps in Dubai initiative.
