An air quality monitoring station has been established in the Jebel Ali area of Dubai, coinciding with World Environment Day.
Built at a cost of nearly AED2 million, the facility is equipped with 11 sensors capable of detecting 101 types of air pollutants.
The initiative is expected to play a crucial role in assessing the effects of industrial and logistics activities on air quality in the region.
It will help ensure compliance with the UAE’s air quality standards, identify harmful pollutants and enable preventative measures to protect the health of residents and workers in Jebel Ali and surrounding areas.
Advanced data collection and transmission systems connect the station to a specialized central office for data processing and report generation.
In support of the #Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 and commemorating World Environment Day, the Ports, Customs and Free Zones Corporation launched the first fixed air quality monitoring station in the Jebel Ali region. https://t.co/J2igBlbyA4 pic.twitter.com/HfuT8ANvRL
