UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the Al Ain Football Club team to Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi to celebrate their victory in the 2024 AFC Champions League.
Their administrative and technical staff also accompanied the team.
During the meeting, the President congratulated the players, the coach, the administrative and technical staff, the supporters and the board of directors for their historic achievement, which marks the club’s second triumph in the history of the competition .
He praised the team’s outstanding performance throughout the tournament, highlighting their high level of competitiveness, determination and strong will to win.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his appreciation for all the efforts that contributed to the team’s success in representing the UAE and winning.
He encouraged the team to maintain its winning streak and high standards, emphasizing that any success of the national teams enhances the overall reputation of UAE sports, especially football, and inspires new sporting achievements in the future .
The players expressed their appreciation for the support and attention given by the President to the country’s sports and youth sector. They claimed that the success of Al Ain Football Club is the result of Sheikh Mohamed’s support for the UAE sports sector and athletes.
They noted that this support imposes an important responsibility on them: to continue to do their best to achieve results and increase the presence of the UAE on the regional and international stages.

The meeting took place in the presence of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, First Vice-President of the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice-President of the Honorary Council and Chairman of the club board of directors; Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Tribunal for Development and Fallen Heroes Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the club’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Committee responsible for managing the affairs of the club. ‘Al Ain Football Club Company and oversees its operations, along with a number of club officials.
