UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 1,138 prisoners ahead of Eid Al Adha.
Sheikh Mohamed will also pay the fines and penalties imposed on these detainees, who are serving prison sentences for various offenses.
The humanitarian gesture aims to give individuals the opportunity to start a new life and bring joy to their families.
