The United Arab Emirates has sent a plane carrying 90 tonnes of relief and food aid to the Egyptian town of Al Arish for transport to the Gaza Strip.
This is the 238th UAE aid plane to be sent since the launch of “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” on November 5, 2023 to support the Palestinian people.
The latest batch of aid includes 450 tents, as well as food parcels and dates.
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 was launched by the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defense in coordination with the Emirates Red Crescent, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
The UAE has already airlifted 33,000 tonnes of food, medical aid and accommodation materials via 395 cargo planes, including 103 planes that participated in airdrops as part of Operation Birds of Goodness “.
Aid was also delivered to Gaza via six cargo ships from Cyprus, as well as 1,243 trucks.
